About me
Ambassador Jake Epelle is a distinguished disability rights advocate, social entrepreneur, and the Founder/CEO of TAF Africa, a leading disability inclusion organization in Nigeria. With over two decades of experience, he has been instrumental in shaping policies and legislative frameworks that enhance the rights and participation of persons with disabilities in governance, electoral processes, and economic empowerment initiatives.
A respected voice in disability advocacy, Jake played a pivotal role in the enactment and implementation of the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act 2018 in Nigeria. Under his leadership, TAF Africa has spearheaded numerous campaigns, including the ‘AbletoVote’ initiative, which has significantly improved the electoral participation of persons with disabilities. His efforts extend to capacity-building programs, accessibility audits, and strategic partnerships with governments, international organizations, and civil society actors to mainstream disability rights in development agendas.
