Established in 1954, for the realization of rights and full participation of persons with disabilities and their families. Rehabilitation International Korea, established as the first disability organization in South Korea, joined Rehabilitation International (RI) at its inception. We have laid the foundation for disability-related laws and policies, including the Disability Welfare Act in line with International instruments. Respecting diverse experiences and lives of citizens with disabilities, we take action against discrimination and inequality. 01 With the International Community: Sharing good practices & Policy development (UN, RI, APDF). 02 With Experts, Youth, and Disability Organizations: • Developing national policies & delivering systems based on the human rights model and addressing issues through solidarity activities, RI Korea conferences and seminars, and an academic journal. • Youth Forum aims at raising awareness, building problem-solving skills, and suggesting improvement measures. 03 With Future Generations: DoDream project supports youth from crisis-affected families, through the provision of education, career support, asset building, and consulting. Global IT Challenge for Youth with Disabilities for enhancing IT skills for their academic and career advancement.
