The Brazilian Association for Action for the Rights of Autistic People (Associação Brasileira para Ação pelos Direitos das Pessoas Autistas) is an autistic-led national DPO. It was created in 2008, to be a human rights based organization, aligned with the UN CDPD. Brings together autistic people and allies committed to acting for inclusion, deinstitutionalization, strengthening family ties, respect for diversity and against abusive and exclusionary practices that affect the lives of autistic people and their families. For us, participation and interssecionality are key.
