Esther Nagetey is a Youth Fellow at the International Disability Alliance, where she leads the youth engagement strategy for the Global Disability Summit 2025.

About me

Esther Nagetey is a dedicated advocate for disability rights and inclusion. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Ghana and has received specialized training in disability advocacy from the African Disability Forum (ADF), where she participated in a Leadership Skills Training Program for Young African Women with Disabilities.

Her professional experience includes serving as an Assistant Caseworker at the Social Welfare and Community Development Department in the Shai Osudoku District Assembly in Ghana, where she supported community development initiatives. She has also interned with the Ghana Federation of Disability Organisations, assisting the programs office in implementing disability-inclusive projects and contributing to national dialogues on disability rights.

Currently, Esther is a Youth Fellow at the International Disability Alliance IDA, where she is actively involved in shaping the youth engagement strategy for the Global Disability Summit GDS 2025. In this role, she organizes and facilitates webinars for young people with disabilities and is leading the drafting process for the Youth Call to Action for GDS 2025.
