About me
I come from a large family with five brothers and sisters and was born in Oxfordshire, brought up on a mixed arable and dairy farm. After school I travelled and worked in Australia for two years and then joined the British Army. I was a Captain and served service in Germany, America, the UK and the Sinai Desert. After the army I became an estate agent working for Strutt and Parker and Savills. I ran offices in Newbury and Richmond working in residential sales. When I retired from Savills, I set up a small property company called Hopegrove and looking after clients and this continues.
After nasty accident the army I was always interested in working with injured veterans from the military such as Help for Heroes and Supporting Wounded Veterans. On a trip to Ukraine with prosthetic arms we started working on mobile amputee support units. These units are operating in Gaza by the Jordanian Royal Medical Services.
In my spare time I enjoy rowing skiing walking swimming diving and generally staying active. I have three children to them are married and I’m about to become a grandfather.
