About me
ABOUT LOIS AUTA
Lois is a creative business executive experienced in developing, implementing and facilitating innovative and strategic initiatives in both start-up and growth organizations with specific expertise in disability inclusion and development. A graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration from the University of Abuja, Nigeria as well as holds several Certificates from an array of universities in Global Business, Project Management, Sustainability and Personal Branding. Her passion and drive for disability inclusion resonates with many allowing her to win stakeholder trust and go on to achieve sustainable results and recorded many milestones. She is currently the Global President, Founder & CEO of Network of Women with Disabilities, a global-owned network where she is responsible for steering the development and empowerment of women and girls with disabilities on major thematic areas. Lois is a member of 100 Davos Women.
Lois is a diversity and Inclusion Expert, Local and Global Disability Advocate, Inclusive Education Advocate, Human Rights Defender, Global Citizen, Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum, Dangote Fellow, Mandela Washington Fellow, Ashoka Changemaker Scholar and a Conscious Politician. Founder - Cedar Seed Foundation, Network of Women with Disabilities, E-Ability Platform, Women on Wheels Multipurpose Cooperative Society and Disabled People in Leadership Initiative. She was part of Vision 20:2020 Nigeria’s economic goals. She is a member of a member of the Presidential High-Level Advisory Council (HLAC) on women and girls with disabilities. Lois is the first black woman with disability named a young global leader of the world economic forum in Africa and Nigeria in 2017. She broke the records by being the first woman with disability who ran for house of representatives in 2019 among 4080 candidates in Nigeria. Lois work has been published on United Nations, U.S Mission in Nigeria, BBC World Service, BBC Media Action Naija, BBC Africa Pidgin, Aljazeera, VOA, IREX, Global Citizen, Inclusive Futures, Concordia, MIUSA, the ICIR, UN Women, Apple Podcast, Mandela Washington Fellowship, World Health Organization, Channels TV, Diversability, TRT World, NTA, the Guardian, ThisDayLive, YouTube, Punch Newspaper, Westminster Foundation for Democracy, Radio Nigeria, Facebook, Wikipedia, She Forum Africa, The Sun Newspaper, Nigerian Newspaper, Legit News and other news platforms.
She sits on different board of trustees as a member and chair within and outside Nigeria. Lois has met high level global leaders and has received presidential handshakes and hugs for her resilience from Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Amina J. Mohammed, Cyril Ramaphosa, Sahle-Work Zewde, Goodluck Jonathan, Olusegun Obasanjo, Mohammadu Buhari, Yemi Osinbajo, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other renowned captains of international industries. She has placed Nigeria on the global map several times and she is a woman of many firsts. She is an award winner locally and globally. Lois is a polio survivor who uses a wheelchair to navigate her way of challenging the status quo and a woman with multiple abilities who inspires the world. She is a motivational global speaker.
