Side Event 7: Realizing Commitments to Disability Inclusive Humanitarian Action – the Role of Financing
This Side Event explores how humanitarian financing can be made inclusive and human rights-based, ensuring that persons with disabilities affected by crises are effectively reached with assistance and participate as actors in the response. Humanitarian funding is declining while the number of people in need continues to rise, creating a critical gap in resources and posing a significant risk for persons with disabilities, who are among those most affected during crises. The event will highlight the perspectives of OPDs, donors and humanitarian organizations.
