Side Event 8: How to pursue systemic change for inclusive education?

This Side Event will bring together a unique combination of stakeholders to share experiences and lessons learned about efforts to achieve systemic change for inclusive education in Malawi and Zambia through international cooperation and joint capacity strengthening initiative. Participants represent a multilateral organization (The World Bank), a donor government (The Scottish Government), representatives of governments of Malawi and Zambia, academia and civil society organizations, including Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) and are involved in the Inclusive Education Policy Learning Exchange (IEPLE) activities in Africa, facilitated by the World Bank, that aims to strengthen the capacity of governments to adopt a twin-track approach for disability inclusion in education policies and the implementation of policies.
